So as I started checking life boxes in my twenty and thirties I was feeling pretty confident that I knew what I was doing. Career, getting married, buying a home, and then my kids came. 💪
Their birth, bringing them home, and starting to see them grow was so awesome. For me, it wasn’t until they started school that we noticed that we had a lot of questions. Is this the best school for them? Not sure about that teacher, (come on we all have said it :)) I hear that kid hits all the other boys in class…what’s the school going to do about it?
As a parent, there were times we thought we had the exact solution, and many times we were right. However, it was so humbling when we confidently thought we had it right but got it so wrong. (it happens)🤦♀️
Some decisions were easy to say “yes” or “no”. However, there were so many that fell into that grey area. My wife and I had to give it some serious discussion and sometimes we saw it totally differently. (I know you’ve been there.:)) 😜
When one of my son’s family friends wants to take him on a ski trip, sure that was an easy “yes”. But when that same family (who we trust) invites him to (enter far away Country) WHAT? Oh Boy, all of a sudden crazy thoughts go through your head.
How about your daughter’s family friend who wants to take her to their home in Hawaii, easy yes. But what happens when that same family wants to take her Sky diving? “Crazy thoughts go through your head, where do they come from”. 👀
My kids are in college now and with every passing year, there were always decisions to make. Like me, you will be able to write a book of examples and it will be very cool…just not while you going through it.
👍
Now we get to something that was easier for me but maybe new for you. You love your current home but you know it isn’t going to meet your family’s needs as your kids continue to grow. Like so many other decisions some will be easy and some will need a lot of discussion.
Luckily, for over 30 years I have helped many family’s go through the transition from their current home to their next dream home. I actually created a signature guide that walks you through an organized framework to meet your family’s exact needs. 👨👩👦👦
👇 It’s called the “2nd Story Process” and feel free to download. Give it a read and I would love to hear your thoughts.
